This is to inform all members that as of 5th May 2025, only those Secretary Generals officially appointed by the WCC for the 2025β2027 term hold active leadership authority.
While the WCC website reflects both past and present leadership for reference, it is important to note that this does not indicate current authority unless explicitly stated.
We are pleased to confirm that the following individuals have been appointed as Secretary Generals for the current term:
Nigeria: Mr. Samuel Olorunfemi (Abuja) (Appointed for the term 2025β2027)
South Africa: Mrs. Zanele Dlamini (Cape Town) (Appointed for the term 2025β2027)
Uganda: Mrs. Margaret Busingye (Entebbe) (Appointed for the term 2025β2027)
India: Dr. Nixon Thottan (Kerala) (Appointed for the term 2025β2027)

Secretary General Appointments β 5th May 2025
The WCC International Committee is pleased to share that the selection process for the new Secretary Generals has been finalized for all leading countries across the continents. These appointments represent a significant step forward in strengthening leadership across our global community.
Key appointments have been made for the following countries:
Africa: Nigeria, South Africa, Uganda
Asia: India, Malaysia, Philippines
Australia (Oceania): Australia, New Zealand, Fiji
Europe: United Kingdom, Italy, Russia, Switzerland
North America: United States of America, Canada, Mexico, Cuba
South America: Brazil

Upcoming Announcement: Secretary General Appointments (3-May-2025)
The WCC International Committee has decided to appoint new "Secretary Generals" for several countries, including key leading nations. These appointments will be finalized on 4th May 2025, and the newly appointed leaders will officially assume their responsibilities from 5th May 2025.
The names of the Appointed Secretary Generals will be formally announced on 5th May 2025.
